Any windshield removal and replacement, windshield bracket adjustment, suspension work, front-end collision repair, wheel-alignment change, or anything that disturbs the front grille or bumper fascia invalidates the factory camera and radar calibration. Stellantis does not separately mark which leg was tripped; the OEM-published procedure is to recalibrate the camera whenever the windshield is disturbed, and to re-aim the emblem-radar whenever the grille or bumper has been disturbed. The model-year matrix determines which static / dynamic / emblem-radar-aim steps apply — pre-2022 baseline trims use static-only calibration, 2022+ Active Driving Assist trims require static plus dynamic plus emblem-radar re-aim, and 2023+ Active Lane Assist-equipped trims add an additional lane-keeping aim step. ProMaster cargo vans share the same windshield-mounted forward camera + emblem-radar pair on trims where Blind-Spot Monitoring is equipped (2022+ on higher trims).
Stellantis does not always illuminate a dashboard warning when calibration is incorrect — particularly for partial miscalibrations where the camera is only slightly off-axis. Forward Collision Warning (Jeep) will react at the wrong distance — usually too late. Ram Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Path Detection will report false negatives on real vehicles in the neighboring lane or false positives on empty pavement. Chrysler Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus will brake at the wrong distance or for the wrong target. Dodge Active Driving Assist will steer toward an off-center lane position. Active Driving Assist with Stop & Go (Ram 1500 DT, Wagoneer, Hornet) will pace the wrong lead vehicle at highway speed and may apply phantom braking at interchanges. LaneSense (Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist) will track the wrong lane center. Pedestrian/Cyclist Emergency Braking will react to phantom targets or miss real pedestrians. Automatic High-Beam Headlamp Control will toggle at the wrong range. Most drivers will not feel anything is wrong until the system fails to react in an actual emergency. AGSC-certified tooling and the per-OEM published procedure matter — the emblem-radar re-aim behind the Jeep seven-slot grille, Ram crosshair, Chrysler wings, or Dodge lettering bar is the leg most often skipped at non-OEM shops.
